To me, Bridesmaid Bouquets can be a tough part of the floral planning process. You don’t want them to look too large next to the brides, but you also want them to stand out.
This post will show you some new and fun ways to have unique Bridesmaid Bouquets!
The Single Flower Look
A personal favorite of mine, the hydrangea is a great option for a bridesmaid bouquet. Subtle, yet beautiful, this flower comes in varying colors to match the theme of your wedding.
It’s becoming more and more popular to choose a single flower look for your bridesmaids while the bride has a more elaborate bouquet.
Another option is to give each bridesmaid a different bouquet composed of one type of flower. That way, each bridesmaid has a flower that is used in the bride’s bouquet.
Vibrant Colored Bouquet Look
Multi-colored Bridesmaid Bouquets are a huge trend right now. Rather than having a mono-chromatic look, brides are opting for more vibrant and fun colors to pop!
Using roses, peonies, carnations, and some small filler flowers such as eucalyptus, and tweedia, these bouquets are a great way to incorporate more color into your wedding.
The downside of bouquets that are this large and elaborate is, you guessed it, the cost. Depending on your budget and the amount of bridesmaids you may have, this can become an unnecessary expense.
The Smaller Bridal Bouquet Look
Using whatever flowers fit the theme of your wedding best, the smaller bridal bouquet is a timeless and classic option. Most brides tend to create smaller versions of the same bouquet for their bridesmaids.
Personally, the bouquet wrapping in this example is what I think is the most beautiful part. The bride’s bouquet boasts a silk wrap with a strand of pearls holding it together. The bridesmaids all have smaller versions of this, with less pearls.
The Color Coordination Look
This type of Bridesmaid Bouquet is used quite often and can be breathtaking in pictures. However, coordinating the color of the bouquet with the color of the bridesmaid’s dress can be a tricky task if each bridesmaid is wearing a different color.
I do think that this idea can be executed well if you’re working with a great florist, however, it can turn out to be more expensive. Ordering several colors of the same flower can rack up costs very quickly but it is a beautiful way to showcase each bridesmaid individually.
