For me, one of my favorite parts, as a planner or a guest, is seeing the wedding suite. For reference, a wedding suite encompasses the invitation, RSVP card, save the date, and any other information that is sent out.
Coordinating the aesthetic of a wedding suite is by far one of the most difficult, yet rewarding jobs in planning a wedding.
That’s why when I found Shine Wedding Invitations, I knew that I had to sit down with one of their designers, Jolene, for an interview.
She took me behind the scenes at one of the best wedding suite designers on the market today.
First, tell me a little bit about your personal career background and then give me a little more insight into how you joined Shine Wedding Invitations?
Even as a young girl, I had a love for stationery—my parents would give me a little allowance, and I’d head straight to the craft store to buy paper. That passion led me to pursue a BFA in Graphic Design, though I wasn’t quite sure where it would take me.
I started my career designing and working at a print shop, and then one day, I came across a job listing at Shine Wedding Invitations. Reading the description and learning about the company, I knew it was the perfect fit—I wanted this job.
Now, nearly nine years later, it’s been incredible to watch Shine grow and to work with amazing couples, bringing their stationery dreams to life.
What is Shine and how did it come to be?
Shine Wedding Invitations started back in 2008 with a simple idea: classic, timeless wedding stationery that never goes out of style. A lot of invitations out there follow trends, but Shine was created to focus on elegant, sophisticated designs that still look just as beautiful years down the road.
Over the years, Shine has grown into a go-to spot for couples who want high-quality wedding stationery with a polished, refined look.
What was Autumn’s vision & how does it reflect the company today?
Autumn Wyda founded Shine with a clear vision—wedding invitations should feel timeless, not trendy. She wanted couples to look back on their invitations years later and still love them, without cringing at outdated fonts or designs. That idea is still at the heart of Shine today.

Tell me a little bit more about the services that you offer & the ordering process.
Shine specializes in high-end wedding invitation suites that include everything from save the dates to RSVP cards, menus, programs, and thank you notes. Couples can customize their suite with details like vellum jackets, wax seals, silk ribbons, and belly bands to create something unique to them.
The process is super straightforward—we pair each couple with a professional designer who walks them through the entire experience. You don’t have to be a design expert or worry about making mistakes.
We make sure every detail is perfect before anything goes to print. Plus, couples can request a free sample kit to see the quality in person before committing.
How many people are on your team & how do you ensure that each customer is satisfied?
We keep things boutique, which means we’re not some massive, impersonal company. Every couple works directly with a dedicated designer who helps them through the entire process, making sure everything is exactly how they want it.
Customer service is a huge priority for us, and we take the time to make sure every couple gets the attention and care they deserve. That’s why so many of our customers leave glowing reviews—they know they’re in good hands!
How has your team scaled the business to what it is now?
It really comes down to staying true to what we do best: timeless design and incredible service. A lot of our growth has been organic—word-of-mouth, repeat clients, and people who love our work and recommend us.
We’ve also built a strong online presence, making it easy for couples to find us and get inspired by our designs.
