When it comes to a bar, most people choose to have one at their reception. So why not make it fun! Here, you’ll find some of the most unique wedding bar ideas from some of the best vendors!
If you’re renting a venue for your wedding that needs EVERYTHING brought in, here are just a few things that you’ll need to know when choosing a wedding bar!
First, there are a few pieces to each bar. First there’s the actual bar! That’s the front part where the bartender can display the couple’s signature drink, any photos, etc. That part is called “the bar”.
Next, there are the two pieces behind the bar called – you guessed it! – “the backbar”! Those are typically the tall pieces behind the bar that hold all of the alcohol. These aren’t necessary, especially if you’re in a venue that may have a shelving unit behind the bar, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Finally, when bringing in a bar unit, you want to ensure that that venue will have the appropriate glassware that accompanies the bar. Sometimes people forget to include glassware – which can be a catastrophic mistake.
Check out some inspiration pictures below and see where each piece is from below!
A personal favorite, this coastal bar has both plenty of space and room to display signature cocktails, marquee letters with the couple’s initials, etc.
You can also use the space to display the bottles of alcohol, coastal decor, or showcase some beautiful glassware.

The rustic bar is a GREAT option for an outdoor reception or a semi-outdoor venue. I think this setup would add such a fun touch of color to a rustic/woodsy theme!
Adding a signature cocktail to this bar is a must! A personal recommendation, an Old Fashioned with cinnamon bitters, would pair so well with this bar.

Another Coastal-theme, (because why else would we be named Curate Coastal??) this unique wedding bar idea is super cool because of the color of the bar! Not many rental companies have colored bars anymore.
Shoutout to Peak Event Services, because they have some of the best and most unique bars and back bars that you have to check out!
This back bar would be the perfect place to display photos of the happy couple or wedding favors such as personalized oyster shell calligraphy!
